The illustrations below are simply bars from the DAMASTEEL stock put directly on the scanner. There is a natural variation of the pattern appearance. Two bars of the same pattern never look exactly alike.

Vinland

Vinland is random structure, forged from bars of the concentric
lamination type. Ground and black bars in stock.
Twist

The laminated billet is rolled to a round dimension. In a special
operation the bar is twisted and then forged to flat dimensions.
Stocked in black or ground surface standard.
Hakkapella

The pattern is developed during the hot working to a flat dimension. Pattern coining of a zig-zag shaped structure is performed as a last operation. Only ground surfaces in stock.


Rose

Rose is pattern coined to a knotty surface. After grinding, concentric rings are seen in the middle part. Towards the border the pattern is more Random-like. Ground bars in stock.
Odin's eye
