Damasteel has four different damascus steel types in stock. One knife blade steel without the patterning is also available.
The grades are specially designed for certain applications.

 

95x .y Austenitic Stainless Damascus Steel
Applications:
  
Flatware Spoons, Forks. Jewellery, Watchcases, Bracelets, Furniture fittings. Marine mountings. Outdoor ornaments. Bathroom mountings.
Properties:
  
Soft. Non magnetic. Excellent corrosion resistance.

93x .y Hardenable Stainless Damascus Knife Steel
Applications:
  
Knife blades. Flatware knives. Edge tools.
Properties:
  
Hardenable up to 60 HRC, Stainless in hardened condition. Excellent edge strength. Magnetic.

Properties:
  
Hardenable up to 50 HRC. Excellent toughness. Good machinability. Magnetic.
Corrosion resistance between 95x.x and 93x.x

92x .y Low Alloy Tough Hardening Damascus Steel
Applications:
  
Hunting firearm barrels and parts for browning or blueing. Knife blades. Axes and other edge tools. Damascus forging including forge welding.
Properties:
  
Hardenable up to 55 HRC. Excellent toughness. Excellent forgeability and forge weldability. No corrosion resistance.

 

 

 

 

 

RWL 34, Hardenable Stainless Knife Steel
Applications:
  
Knife blades
Properties:
  
Hardenable up to 62 HRC, Stainless in hardened condition. Excellent edge strength. Magnetic.
